Scott Walker has been recognised with an award by a Sydney chamber of commerce. The chamber of commerce for the Kings Cross and Potts Point district, the Potts Point Partnership, ran an online camapaign in May to support businesses supporting small businsses during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Nominations were invited by local residents and business owners, with the two most unique nominations as decided by the business association benefiting from recognition and cash sponsorships.
The Potts Point Partnership awarded two prizes; the first to walkerlab Founder Scott Walker, and the other to Big Issue vendor, Scott Woolfe.
Scott was nominated by walkerlab client, Keiran McKay, who opened his Elizabeth Bay bakery, Baked by Keiran, during the pandemic with targeted public relations support from Scott shortly after the launch of walkerlab.
This is what Keiran had to say about Scott:
“Scott Walker blew us away with his focus on the local community. He is so genuine, reliable and has been a goldmine of advice, mentoring and creativity. Cannot speak more highly of him.”
Referencing the award, Scott said:
“I’m humbled, and pleased to have been recognised alongside such a prominent local figure in Scott Woolfe. I congratulate the Partnership on their campaign and thank Keiran and other local figures who nominated me.”
